The CTC mission statement

“Our aim at CTC is to uphold the traditions of tennis, as well as the spirit of fair play which is inherent to this great sport. We look to achieve this through organising competitions and other sporting and cultural events; arranging tennis workshops and seminars; and generally supporting the activities of member clubs around the world. We also strongly encourage the development young talent. We give our support to a range of junior events, and seek to foster the future stars of the sport. “It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

CTC strongly encourages the development of young talent.

A truly global organisation

From the original eight members, the CTC has grown to become a truly global organisation and in 2023 is comprised of eighty-four (89) affiliated clubs in twenty four countries and on four continents.

Apart from the planning of overseas tennis tours of a recreational nature, for RKPTC members, there is the opportunity for (say) State League players from our club to play with (say) European club teams during the Northern Summer.

We also have access for our 17+ year old members under the European Erasmus scheme, an EU initiative, which allows a tennis home base for our youth who might want to study in Europe for between 3 and 12 months. We can reciprocate in a similar manner.

RKPTC members proudly heap praise on the unlimited advantages of the CTC membership, which is a valuable bonus for all members.

Centenary Tennis Clubs

We draw members attention to the “CTC” banner adjacent to the main entrance.  This and the plaque placed in the entry foyer signify that Royal Kings Park Tennis Club has been granted membership of The Association of Centenary Tennis Clubs.  This is a prestigious international association of tennis clubs that are more than 100 years old and that have an illustrious history of National and international events, including test matches, Davis and Fed Cup ties, etc.  CTC is a very unique organisation, in that the CTC is the only association in the world that connects tennis clubs internationally.

Members who wish to visit our associated CTC clubs should enquire at RKPTC's administrative office where we have a standard procedure to prepare reciprocal benefits.  Dates for your arrival and departure should be clear. There can be circumstances when clubs are running events or tournaments etc., where reciprocal arrangements can be denied by the host club.
