The RKPTC Committee consists of:

  • Such number of other members, who are to be known as the ordinary members of the committee, as are required for there to be a total of 10 members of the committee.

  • Greg Jacobs

    President

    First joined RKPTC in about 1994

    Extensive experience as tennis administrator including periods as Vice President of Tennis Tasmania and as President of Wembley Downs TC

    Represented Tasmania in both junior and senior tennis

    Regular pennant player for RKPTC including several years as captain.

    Now retired, formerly real estate agent, auctioneer and project manager.

    Extensive business experience and qualified company director

  • Geoff Barker

    Vice - President

    Chair Corporate Stakeholders Committee

    Focus Lease and Sub Lease matters, relations with corporate stakeholders.

    A member of RKPTC since 2016, Geoff has played competitive tennis for many years, previously at Dalkeith, where he was Club Captain and at Cottesloe. Geoff was a member of the successful WA Men’s O50’s doubles team at the Australian and NZ Championships in Christchurch in 2006. He currently plays for RKPTC in the Men’s O50’s Team.

    Geoff is an energy industry professional with over 40 years of global experience comprising senior executive and board positions in listed and unlisted companies and as an owner and executive director of a successful independent consulting business. Geoff has a BSc Melbourne University, M.Eng.Sc (Pet Eng) Sydney University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    Involvement with RKPTC: Pennant Captain/WA League player since 2000

    Relevant experience: International Trade Consultant (35+ years) - Director PwC (current position) / Association of Mining and Exploration (AMEC) Corp Regulation and Taxation Committee member (1999 to date) / Bachelor of Arts (Social Science).

  • Matt Huttchens

    Treasurer

    Matthew Hutchens is a mineral exploration geophysicist originally from Adelaide, South Australia. He has been a member of various sporting clubs since the age of 8 when he started playing football. Clubs include Walkerville Football Club, Sturt Baseball Club, Rose Park Cricket Club, University of Adelaide Football Club, East Torrens Baseball Club, University of Adelaide Baseball Club and Kingston Tennis Club. Matthew has previous committee experience through his involvement with the ASEG SA & NT Branch as a committee member from 2010-2017, and on the organising committee of Modern Application of Geophysics 2023 symposium. He gained nearly 10 years experience in hospitality and event organisation while working for the University of Adelaide Union in the UniBar where smaller events were hosted nearly weekly and major events were hosted at least bi-annually (ie Adelaide Fringe Opening Party 2018). Matthew has bookkeeping and business management skills from running AMG Surveys geophysical acquisition company for 10 years from 2013 to present. He is currently a willing volunteer on the Royal Kings Park Tennis Club committee and is dedicated to improving the club for the benefit of all members one step at a time.

    Involvement with RKPTC: Previous Club Captain and Vice - Captain 5 years.

    Relevant Experience: Head of Maths, Senior College, Bachelor of Art’s UWA (French), Strata Manager (hon).

    Heritage Officer

    Sub - Committee Lead: Heritage, House & Grounds Chairman

    RKPTC Member since: 1977

    Involvement with RKPTC: Junior Development 1980’s, Representative on Tennis West Council, Court surfaces and development, TW Headquarters subcommittee, Clay court subcommittee, Junior Development (Ward) scheme reformer, Centenary Tennis Clubs

    Relevant experience: International Shipbroker (trading worldwide in bulk commodities), Consulted European Federations & Tennis Academies in Junior Development and court surfaces

  • Richard O'Donnell

    General Committee

    Self employed for 35 years. Joined RKPTC in 1996.

    Club Captain for three years.

  • Greg Macpherson


    General committee member, focus on squash

    RKPTC member since 2007

    UWA Bachelor of Economics.
    Has worked in contract management for a number of organisations.

    Former member Cambridge Squash Club and Reabold Tennis Club.

    Playing Sunday tennis pennants in summer and reserving for pennant squash at Kings Park.
