- President's League - Weekday Arvo Doubles
Frequently Asked Questions on the President’s League.

  • What is the President's League? A super flexible sign-up for 4 mixed doubles matches to be completed by the end of the year.

  • How do I sign up? Simply register right here: https://rkptc.tidyhq.com/public/schedule/events/89685-rkptc-weekday-arvo-doubles

  • Do I need a partner? NO! You will be thoughtfully paired with different people each time you play.

  • Who organizes the matches? The President—hence the name!

  • How much does it cost? Completely FREE.

  • How do you win? The winner (or winners) will be the individuals who rack up the most total games won.

  • When are the matches played? I will schedule one match per week for each Tuesday at 4pm on the RKPTC grass courts throughout November. I will publish the full schedule before 1 November 2026 so you can see your match-ups in advance.

  • What if I can't make my scheduled match? You have total flexibility. It is entirely up to you to either play on that Tuesday date or coordinate with your group to reschedule it for a mutually convenient time. You have a whole 2 months (until the end of December) to get your 4 matches in! If you try to reschedule and simply cannot make it work, just tell me. There is no penalty, and I will happily swap in another player for you.

  • Who can play? All RKPTC members and NextGen members. If you know someone who really wants to play but is not a member, please email me their request personally.

  • This sounds too good to be true, what is the catch? The only catch is that the President gets to do all the background work to make the matches fun and tally up all the games. Yay!

RKPTC is hosting an exciting AO 1 Point Slam Community Event! It is a fast knockout competition where every match consists of just one point—win the point and you advance; lose it and you’re out. This is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - you just have to register. Our RKPTC winner will progress to the WA State Championships, with the opportunity to continue towards the Australian Open 1 Point Slam and its $1 million prize. https://app.utrsports.net/events/390330

2027 Masters World Championships

In alignment with our strategic pillar to Reclaim the Tournament Calendar, I am excited to announce that RKPTC will be one of the host venues for the 2027 Masters World Championships for the 55, 60, 65 and 70 World Team and Individual Championships, taking place in Perth from April 25 to May 8, 2027.

While hosting an international event is a fantastic milestone for the Club, our commitment to Strengthen Social Tennis always comes first. To ensure that our community can continue to enjoy their regular games without disruption, we have reserved select grass courts throughout the event. This guarantees that social tennis and member access remain fully protected.

Our proposal for a lower-priced Racquet Only tennis membership is currently under consideration by NextGen. We expect a decision shortly. Current Racquet Only members should look out for a renewal offer in the mail from NextGen soon—please ensure your physical mailing address is up to date with them.

In addition to Hot Shots, Jake is committed to hosting 2 dedicated kids' tournaments this upcoming season. The Committee has also allocated up to $2,000 to make family-friendly enhancements, like games and bean bags. Email us what you would like to see and we will try our best!

Where did our Past Presidents go?

Fear not, everyone! Our past presidents haven't vanished into thin air. They are currently resting safely in the storage area of the Members Pavilion, but they won’t be hiding in the dark for too long.

By Opening Day, they will be settled in a place of honor—right after we figure out where.

The past presidents were temporarily placed in storage while the wall that they were on was refreshed and reimagined with RKPTC heritage as the continued focus.  However, the last we heard about this from NextGen was last year despite our frequently asking what the plan is.
