25hr Marathon for Telethon

The Royal Kings Park Tennis Club marked its 125th anniversary with an exhilarating 25-hour Tennis Marathon in support of Telethon, held from the 19th to the 20th of October, 2024.

Despite having taken up tennis less than two years ago, club member Gary Lyons set his sights on this monumental challenge, proving that dedication and heart could go a long way. The marathon united the Perth Tennis community in a show of support, with all funds raised going directly to Telethon Kids to support children’s health initiatives.

The marathon was not just a test of endurance but a powerful statement of the community’s dedication to the sport and its commitment to making a positive impact on young lives.

Everyone came together on the court, rallied for the cause, and created a lasting legacy of hope and joy for children in need.

Together we raised $39,847 dollars for Telethon for the state’s sick and vulnerable children.
